Acquisition Type: CNLM holds a conservation easement to protect imperiled species and habitats that exist on the preserve in perpetuity. The preserve is owned by third party.

Key Habitats:  Freshwater Aquatic/Wetland, Blue Oak Woodland and California Annual and Perennial Grassland.

Introduction

The Grove at Granite Bay Preserve was established in 2007 to mitigate for the loss of wetland and oak tree habitat. The Preserve protects 9.1 acres in 5 lots within the Grove at Granite Bay subdivision in Granite Bay, Placer County.

Conservation Significance

The Preserve protects oak woodland habitat and wetlands.

Our Work

Management of the Preserve is provided by the Grove at Granite Bay Home Owners’ Association and focuses on preserving the site’s conservation values through the control of invasive weeds. CNLM monitors for conservation easement and management plan compliance.

Public Access

Due to the vulnerability of the species and habitats that exist on this Preserve, it is not open to the public.
