Natural Areas Association Conference

The Center for Natural Lands Management participated fully in the recent annual conference of the national Natural Areas Association in Davis, California. CNLM was one of the conference sponsors and several staff provided oral presentations. Sarah Godfrey, San Diego Preserve Manager, provided a presentation on ‘Restoring riparian ecosystem function and diversity through cost-efficient hazardous fuel removal’ click here. Additional CNLM staff—including Peter Dunwiddie, Cathy Little, and Susan Waters—provided presentations together with CNLM Board Director Ken Sanchez, Center for Biological Diversity attorney Lisa Belenky, and USDA Forest Service NFGEL geneticist, Jennifer DeWoody in a symposium entitled ‘Conserving rare and imperiled species in the context of climate change: case studies from research, management, and policy perspectives’ that was organized by Deborah Rogers.
